Event Details

Dyslexia isn't a weakness. It's a different way of learning, a unique way of seeing the world.
Yet, across Nigeria, dyslexia is often met with silence, shame, or misunderstanding. For years, the Dyslexia Initiative Project Africa (DIPA) has been transforming confusion into clarity, for children, parents, teachers, and entire communities. Through dedicated educator training, impactful advocacy, and inclusive learning spaces, we've started to shift this narrative.
Now, we're taking our mission beyond the classroom and into the streets with the Dyslexia Awareness Walk 2025.
This isn't just a walk; it's a national event for inclusion, understanding, and empowerment.
Join Us Across Nigeria:
Jigawa: October 2nd

Delta: October 8th

Abuja: October 16th
đź•™ Time: 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM

Each walk will feature:
Powerful voices and advocates

Inspiring performances

A collective march for neurodiverse inclusion

Why We Walk:
To shatter harmful myths surrounding dyslexia

Hey friends!

We're less than 60 days away from our Dyslexia Walk Campaign in Jigawa on October 2nd, 2025! 🎉

This campaign is close to my heart, and I'm passionate about creating a more inclusive world for individuals with dyslexia. But I need your help! 🤝

Will you join me in walking, sponsoring, or volunteering? Every bit counts, and together we can make a real difference. 🌟

Stay tuned for more updates on dates and venues. Let's do this! đź’Ş #DyslexiaWalkCampaign #InclusionMatters #SupportDyslexia"

We promote a dyslexia awareness aware society.
Dyslexia is a specific learning difference that affects one's ability to read, write and process language. It doesn't affect one's intelligence. Stop the stigma.
Join us to Spread The Word.

When we walk for DYSLEXIA, we walk for inclusion, we walk for accommodation, we walk for the right to quality education.

What if one step you take today could change how a child with dyslexia sees themselves tomorrow?

The Dyslexia Walk 2025 is more than a campaign—it’s a movement of awareness, hope, and inclusion. From Jigawa to Delta and Abuja this October, we’re walking to break the silence, end the stigma, and raise support for dyslexia inclusion across Africa.

This campaign will succeed more with partnerships, collaboration, and voices like yours. Whether through volunteering, sponsorship, or amplifying our message, your involvement can help transform lives.

👉 Will you take that step with us?

As schools resume across Nigeria, many children are returning to classrooms filled with hope, curiosity, and the excitement of learning. But for some children, those with dyslexia, school resumption can bring feelings of fear, shame, or confusion.

Dyslexia is not about intelligence; it is a difference in how the brain processes written language. Yet, because of the lack of awareness and support, many children are mislabeled as “coconut head” or “slow.” Some even drop out of school because their struggles are misunderstood.

This is why we are walking! đź’Ş
The #DyslexiaWalk2025 Campaign is not just a walk; it is a call to action to schools, parents, governments, and communities to recognize dyslexia for what it is, provide resources, and give children the chance to thrive.

📍 Every step we take is for the child who hides their notebook out of fear.
📍 Every voice we raise is for the teacher who wants to help but doesn’t know how.
📍 Every hand we join is for the parent who feels helpless watching their child struggle.

As we resume this new school term, let’s remember: no child should be left behind because of dyslexia.

👉 Will you walk with us? Join the movement for awareness, inclusion, and change.
