Geeta Dharmarajan - Katha Geeta Dharmarajan is a writer, editor, educator, and the Executive Director of Katha, a nonprofit organization that she founded in 1988. She has been focused on education, especially for children from low-income families. Katha is a registered non-profit and non-governmental organization based in Delhi in 1989. In the past three decades, KATHA, through its many programs, has helped over one million children achieve their dreams and help themselves out of poverty. Geeta Dharmarajan has been the leading creative spirit, innovator, and driving force of the organization, and is in close touch with teachers, children, and the community at the ground level. She’s been awarded the Padma Shri in 2012 for her exceptional work in the field of Literature and Education. She’s very friendly with the kids in Katha, and with that, the organization has been working really well. #education @katha
