During the #pandemic we realised that #traditional #Odia #artists that we work with are going through an unforeseen hardship due to loss of revenue. Self help groups and other communities were also facing issues. We realised also that masks are here to stay. We requested our artist Shri Bibhu Maharana, an award winning #pattachitra artist from #Dandasahi, a #heritage #crafts #Village near Puri, to make some art on #masks. We procured handwoven and hand stitched khadi masks by women #SHGs and gave then to Bibhu Bhai to do his magic. The results are fabulous. From necessity a new artform was born - pattachitra masks!
