@Dr. Sai Kaustuv Dasgupta was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease, which is a group of inherited disorders characterized by fragile bones that break easily. A handshake could cause him multiple fractures. Later considering his condition, he left dancing. But eventually, he found joy in singing. “Sometimes in life, a sudden situation, a moment in time, alters your whole life, forever changes the road ahead.” This is exactly what happened with Sai. His entire world came crashing down when one day he stumbled into the washroom and fell. When he was first put in a wheelchair, it was heartbreaking for him. “My life seemed like a dark tunnel with no light at the end. I stayed confined to my bed for six years (2009 -2015) due to innumerable fractures. But my parents were my pillar of strength, and they did everything they could, to see me happy. This sparked the ray of hope inside me.” Now he is an international graphic designer, a world record holder, a singer, and a motivational TEDX speaker. He wrote his first book with one operational finger of his left hand. He is running a community of happiness by spreading his broad smile. He definitely came out as a wheelchair warrior.
