From a young age, @SrikanthBolla had big dreams. When asked what his ambition was, he replied “To be the first visually challenged President of India” He went on to be the first visually challenged student at MIT. His story is something many children have experienced; loneliness, discrimination and harassment for his impairment. He felt that the problem in India is that over 2.1% of its population is physically disabled but it still lacks the basic infrastructure to accommodate them properly. The development is slow and full of hurdles for those already experiencing hardship. Srikanth had to go to the extent of fighting against the government for his right to study Science at an intermediate level but nothing shook him from his goal. After finishing his degree abroad, he started to wonder how he could help others not face the obstacles he had and returned to India. He built a strong support service platform to find, rehabilitate, nurture and reintegrate children and adults into the society. He even built a company to help those who are disabled with employment. He wants the world to be more compassionate and kind towards those who are disabled to make a more inclusive envionrment. #blindbutnotblind #physicallydisabled #inspir
