Brigadier Nur Ali Suwandi or commonly known as Bon Ali, Founder of the Rumah Singgah Bumi Damai Foundation for abandoned children, orphans and homeless people. This foundation was created starting from its concern for street children and orphans and because of the advice of his teachers while at the Islamic boarding school to become a useful policeman and love his country. The activities that are usually carried out at this foundation are from read Alquran, study and eat together. The children who live in this foundation are inhabited by various ages, ranging from toddlers who are only eight months old to adults. He said he was ready to accommodate those who wanted to come and live here with other children. He always tried to meet the needs of foster children, most of the funds come from donors. Not only matters of necessity, but he also teaches scientific and moral education. Apart from being a coach at his foundation, he often carries out other noble activities by building mosques in remote areas of Gunung Kidul.
