Al-Salam Charity Foundation is a faith-based non-profit dedicated to humanitarian relief, education, and community development, operating primarily in Uganda. They work in underserved communities, often in hard-to-reach areas, focusing on poverty alleviation, food distribution, and youth empowerment.
In rural Uganda, families are walking miles for water, children are skipping school, and communities are falling ill from unsafe sources. Despite their deep commitment on-ground, they struggled to reach donors beyond their immediate network, and lacked digital infrastructure to present their mission credibly.
Their objective was to raise resources for building sustainable water wells, share their story with global supporters, activate meaningful contributions, inspire trust, and help turn compassion into action - at scale.
To amplify this mission globally, Al-Salam launched a “Mobilize Resources” campaign on UPDEED titled:

In their words:
“Hello everyone,
we are here at our newly constructed borehole, and we are proudly dedicating it to our friends at UPDEED.
This is our way of thanking them for the great work they’re doing to support our cause. Their efforts brought visibility, trust, and real momentum to our mission and this well stands as a living symbol of that partnership.”
